Ilan Garibi | Till Origami Do Us Part
Ilan Garibi is one of those guys that have to work with his hands 24/7. This dude folds and folds and folds paper till he drops. Well, at least that’s what it feels like.
One of Ilan’s latest collaborations was with Aqua Creations. He was responsible for all this mad folding and Ofir Zucker and Albi Serfaty were responsible for the design. The bright child is called Molecule.
You can read an interview with this mega crazy folder right here.
BTW, over the weekend I’m gonna visit Ilan’s brand new exhibition. Can’t wait!

Nadav Barkan | Sticks and Stones
I’m fascinated by typographers. Somewhere, deep down I wish I would have what it takes to sit hours after hours and design the best next font. Who am I kidding… I should leave it to the pros and in this case, the guys behind the brand new Alef Alef Alef, house of fonts. Nadav Barkan, the one behind the Sticks and Stones font is one of my favorites. Nadav decided to create the symbols that mark significant milestones in weapons development.‬ It’s also a visual interpretation of Einstein’s statement that “in the end, despite all the technological developments, humanity will return to the starting point”.

Tam.2311 | Tamar Dovrat | Beauty and The Beast
Tamar Dovra aka “Tam | 2311″ is a really bright and colorful surprise. I haven’t heard about her till now, but now that I know her name, I feel like it’s gonna be a love story between myself and her oh so cutesy Beastly Illustrated Brooches. The fact that she illustrates each and every piece by hand is mad crazy! It makes me appreciate her twice more!

World Break | Oliver Jeffers | Coffee in Crime
I have an issue with coffee. There is no point in denying it. Take one look at my Instagram feed and you’ll know exectly what I’m talking about. Anyways, when I first stumbled upon Oliver Jeffers’s A World With Coffee, for a moment it felt like I have a partner in crime out there. I get SO many worried comments regarding my coffee habits that I think I needed to find Oliver sooner than later. I looked all over to find more of his coffee illustrations but no luck so far. Oliver, if you hear me, please share some more of these life saving creations!

DesignBreak Elsewhere | Interviewing Rona Meyuchas for the JPost
Just like that, out of the blue, I discovered Rona Meyuchas’s world. Immediately I knew I’ll find the right time and place to get to know her up close and personal. Rona is one of those designers who seems like they can do it all! From light fixtures to lamps, from office accessories to home accessories. You name it, she designed it.
Join me while I explore behind the scenes of the “Kukka” brand in my Jerusalem Post series.

A while back I wrote about Lital Mendel’s origami like rings. A year has gone by and Lital kept exploring more prints and textures. She came up with brand new rings that are the same but different ;)
I can’t get enough of these rings. Seriously! The next step is putting a folding ring around my finger. Till then, you’ll hear a lot more about it. That, I can promise you!

Roni Kantor | Head Over Heels
Writing about Roni Kantor’s creations is always a pleasure. Well, besides the fact that it takes double the time… I find myself blown away by the shoes shapes and colors so much that about an hour later it’s time to wake up and get back to reality. Oh, and I didn’t even begin talking about all those little extra special treasures that she added to the frame! Maybe by her next shoot she will have me as a fly on the wall, I guess I should ask…
In the meanwhile I’m gonna keep on dreaming about the sunshine but enjoy all the brownish and other fall colors that Roni uses so gracefully.

Illustrated Break. January 2012 | By Hadar Reuven
With the new year’s arrival, let me introduce a brand new Illustrated Break! Hadar Reuven doesn’t really have time for a Design Break. “As an illustrator, I have a constant need to illustrate my thoughts and believes. This illustration is all about creating a light and happy atmosphere, something which is a bit deferent from my everyday illustrations.”
