| New Olds | A Traveling Blog |
| Last week I visited the traveling exhibition new olds. Design between Tradition and Innovation at Design Museum Holon, which was curated by Volker Albus. The variety of the exhibits made me think about it a long after I left. The fact that a bunch of recently graduated Israeli designers were displaying their work made me feel at home. With the exhibition comes a traveling blog. You should definitely check it out. It’s my kind of design break. |

| “Papela is a playful paper lamp. Crumple, squash and reshape it as you like. It comes as a paper ball, which by a simple set of actions, transforms into a unique wrinkled lampshade.” As someone who is obsessed with papers of all kinds starting with magazines and ending with stationary, this lamp is definitely my cup of tea. BTW, Meirav Barzilay, the girl behind it all is a busy bee. It feels like her mind is working at full speed. This time is no exception… Although I’m not a huge environmentalist, I try to do my very best… Consider this as a step in the right direction ;) “A lamp made of a metal grid with a vine at its base, bringing light and nature into your home. Choose the type of vine and let it create a natural lampshade as it grows.
