We all need a dash of bright color in our lives. Iris Tsante is the one responsible for making my day a little more bright and colorful in the middle of this extra gray day. Her pencil jewelery are a breath of fresh air in this dreadful winter! I’m sure you all agree with me.

Another bright light is Mr. Color himself aka Brad Goreski. Brad even has his own trade mark slogan named “POC”. If you ask yourself what does #POC stands for, the right answer is clearly “Pop of Color” ;)

I’m obsessed with Etsy. There I said it! So when ever I get their newsletter (you know I signed up for ALL of their newsletters…) it’s like a sign to drop whatever I’m doing and go into a happy artsy mode. That was the case earlier today when I spotted The Strange Planet animals by The Good Machinery. These little colorful animals made me realize that you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy things from your past. I can still remember playing with my plastic animals as a child and the fact that I can have the same animals but a bit more stylish and jazzed up makes things so much better.
I’m so getting my own little zoo a.sap!

I’m obsessed with Etsy. There I said it! Ester Klein grew up in a Kibbutz. She is Jewish, Persian, Polish, Heretic and Repentant. Till this day, I remember how overwhelmed I was when I first saw Ester’s pieces of jewelry laying on the big white table. I felt confused and intrigued all at the same time. In her project she tries to cope with it all- “Within the scale between the Kibbutz, secularism and Judaism, what can you change and what can you play with? What remains and what falls apart?” Life in Israel can be confusing from time to time but I guess that’s what makes it so worthwhile. BTW, Ester is a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.

 Last week I visited the “Israeli Glass 2011″ exhibition. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect but… I was blown away by the mad talent! So many brilliant and out of the box ideas executed beautifully and with a sensitive eye for the smallest details.
I have to mention Roi Carmeli’s “One Game Only” video. You have to spare 02:13 minutes of you time. Trust me, you’ll thank me later!
Oh… and the mastermind behind it all is the curator Henrietta Eliezer Brunner.
