Sometimes I feel like a stalker when it comes to Daniel Zelig’s ceramic jewlery. If it was up to me, I would write her once a week asking for a sneak peek. And trust my words, I would probably receive something different with each and every email.
One of her latest collections is the “STONE” series. It came to life while she was exploring the concept of “inlay”. Daniel enjoys experimenting with “stones” and the outcome is super elegant, minimalistic and slightly different with each ring. I need to arrange a close and personal meeting with this white heaven.

Is it strange that I still love balloons altough I’m not six year old? I hope the answer is no ;)
While visiting The FAD Pop-Up Shop, I fell head over heals with the most amazing ceramic balloons by Sivan Sternbach. Sivan shared with me that it all began as a gesture to Eran Shakine’s bronze balloon that she owns. Since then and many balloons later, Sivan uses different kinds of clays and has fun sculpting away balloons in all shapes and forms.

Bo is a Cheeky goldfish, who was conceived back in 2003 in Kamwei Fong’s mind.
Considering my own Dunny obsession, there is nothing I like more than a bare figure that takes a life of it’s own.
I guess that’s why I love this Bo fish so much!
Honestly, I’m not that much of a fish person but this time I can’t help it.
If you want me to be on your side, all you need to do is use a lot of white and just the right amount of color and I’m yours for good ;)

Bo is a Cheeky goldfish, who was conceived back in 2003 in Kamwei Fong’s mind.

For some reason, DesignBreak became a little bit more artsy this week…
As I mentioned, yesterday I visited the pop-up shop FAD and boy I was blown away by the mad talent!
One of the ceramists that made me smile from ear to ear was Yulia Tsukerman and her Vanitas world. It’s been a while since I was moved by a ceramic creation and I’ve been looking for “the next big thing” in the ceramic world. I know I’m using big words but I feel like there is a lot more where this mysterious beauty came from.
FYI, “Vanitas” is the Latin word stands for “Emptiness”.

I guess Max Cheprack likes to go the extra mile, his extrusion clay research led to a line of stools. I can tell it was a long and overwhelming journey. By Pushing clay through a Muslim inspired template Max created these unique stools and opened a door to some new possibilities and adventures in the ceramic world.
Here is a glimpse inside the process.
Max is a graduate of the Industrial Design Department at H.I.T.

Yesterday was all about Peter Pan but today it’s about Alice in wonderland‘s tea party and the Cheshire Cat courtesy of Racheli Gabay Schaffner. Racheli researched the world of two dimensions and was drawn to the photography and animation aspect of it. She wanted to represent a series of rhythmic movements as ceramic objects and she defiantly succeeded freezing this tea party’s madness :)
BTW, one of the artists that Racheli was inspired by is Peter Jansen.
Racheli is a graduate of the Ceramics and Glass Department of Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
