Independence Kind of Day
So… today Israel celebrates it’s 65th birthday. It’s kind of old but then again, kind of new.
Whenever I think about my home country (and it’s only been three months since I left) I can’t help but daydream of it’s blue blue skies and happy weather. There is nothing that a clear blue sky and a sunny day can’t cure!
That’s why I figured that I’d share with you some of my all time favorite happy sky pictures hand picked out of my instagram feed.
For many more, my dear and super sunny Israel!

It’s Time to Celebrate Passover!
As I’m writing, everyone in Israel is sitting by the dinner table and celebrating the Passover…
This time is a little bit different for me and the Mr. We are here is San Francisco and we’ll be participating in a Seder of our own later this evening. I wish I could be able to taste my grandma spicy Moroccan carrot salad and give a big hug to my sweet family.
Anyways, as it was a big dream of mine to live in the US for a while it’s time to create new memories right here in our new home.
Happy and tasty Passover to all of you who celebrate and Chag Sameach!

San Francisco Calling…

I’m writing this post sitting at the airport waiting for my flight to… San Francisco.
Now I can finally share with you that I’m beginning a new and super exciting chapter in my life. One that I was waiting for, for a long long long time and now it looks like my dream of living abroad will become a reality after a 16 hour flight (!!!)
I’ll be back posting this coming Monday with lots of new and extra special guest posts by some of my favorite international bloggers and Israeli designers.
Until then… Wishing you a sunny weekend, my lovely breakers!

InstagramBreak | One Special Day!

Today was one special day!
I’m only celebrating the big 34 in two days but the Mr. and I decided to take a moment to ourselves in the middle of all the craziness (I’ll tell you all about it in a couple of months) and enjoy a day at the beach (oh well, it also had something to do with a spa).
I know, I know, it’s almost December AND the sun was out and about. She (I like to refer to her as a lady) smiled the whole day and over all it was one special day but I said it already.

I’m on Cloud Nine | Playing Fashion Blogger for a Week

I’ve been a bit MIA for the last couple of days… The exciting news are that thanks to Kinetis (which were responsible for one of my best experiences as a blogger almost a year ago) this week is all about fashion and fashion bloggers. As you all know, I’m more of a design blogger than a fashion one, but it’s no secret that my love for accessories is bigger than life. Anyways, having the opportunity to meet many new inspiring designers and international and Israeli bloggers is such a great treat. And incase you’re wondering about the bloggers, they are the ones behind: Fashionising, A Shaded View on Fashion Film, Bryanboy, FashionToast and TrendLand.

Today, Seven Years Ago…
When you marry your best friend, you marry a better version of yourself. That’s how I feel about my sweet big brown eyed Mr. Us being together a lifetime is the one thing I know for sure. We started dating during high school and haven’t broken up since! I know how precious and unusual that road is and I cherish it with all my heart. Growing up together, finding our own unique voice and discovering the world, is what it’s all about for us, and I know there are some pretty exciting adventures up ahead… The best part of it all is we will go through them together! Yep, together is the guiding theme of our relationship.

DesignBreak’s Third Anniversary | Am I Dreaming?
Another year has gone by and with it lots of butterflies, dreams and some exciting milestones… I guess the biggest journey this year was the birth of my 8gram greeting cards. After being a blogger for 3 years (!!!) I had this urge to return to the designer seat for a little while… And what can I say, it feels so good!
With the designers on one side and you, my special and curious readers, on the other, I feel as lucky as can be! Thank you for being part of my not so ordinary life. Here’s for many more exciting creations and special moments.
On a side note: stay tuned this Monday for a very special anniversary giveaway!

My Japanese Break | It’s Complicated!
Today is Israel’s Memorial Day.
With all the melancholic songs on the radio, the quiet streets and the sad memories, I feel like this particular picture, which I took while in Kyoto says it all…
And in three little words: It’s complicated!
Kyoto is full of tangled electric wires and I found myself fascinated by the way they turned into a perfect composition.

Just Wanted to Say Hello
Hi there my sweet breakers!
The past two weeks have been a crazy ride. Japan is indeed a magical country and then some…
There is so much that I want to share with you but for that to happen I need to beat this crazy jet lag.
SO, tomorrow bright and early I’m going to start working on a bunch of Japanese posts.
My favorite shops in Tokyo and Kyoto and the absolute must tea rooms are just few at the top of my to do list.
But first things first, a few hours of cozy sleep and then I’ll be fit to do it all.
See you tomorrow back here.
xoxo

Breath of Designed Air | A Week with Kinetis

Last week was a special one. The ladies behind Kinetis (a non profit organization that aims to share with the world the creative side of israel and it’s people) invited me to join their design tour. I can’t explain in words how exciting and inspiring it was to meet Jeff aka Booooooom, Andrea from designboom, Amy from Dezeen, James aka We Heart and Ben from DeTnk. These five know a thing or two about blogging and doing it the stylish way and there is nothing like talking about your greatest passion with those who don’t think you’re crazy!
They all blog for their living and they made me believe that I’m on the right track. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. it was a real pleasure!

Happy New Year, Breakers!

In a few hours we will be celebrating the beginning of the Jewish New Year. Around here, we call it Rosh Hashanah.
May this year be one to remember. Full of colors, shoes and a sea of accessories :)
