  • Kamwei Fong doing his thing
Bo is a Cheeky goldfish, who was conceived back in 2003 in Kamwei Fong’s mind.
Considering my own Dunny obsession, there is nothing I like more than a bare figure that takes a life of it’s own.
I guess that’s why I love this Bo fish so much!
Honestly, I’m not that much of a fish person but this time I can’t help it.
If you want me to be on your side, all you need to do is use a lot of white and just the right amount of color and I’m yours for good ;)

Keren Rosen | Family Ties
  • Galia . Keren's Friend
  • Keren's Mom
  • Orit and Her Cats
  • Keren's Dad
  • Nilly . Keren's Friend
  • Adi . Keren's Friend
Can you imagine your close family and friends as little miniatures?
I certainly can!
Well, Keren Rosen took it up a notch and actually made an army of little minis. I love the fact that she tried to capture their spirit and personality by adding just a dash of color.
Keren is one of those people who likes to keep themselves busy at all times and beside her daily work as an industrial designer, she sketches… like EVERY DAY kind of thing and even has time for other side projects. I don’t know what about you but I feel like I have to step up my game… ;)

Reddish Studio | Bottle Cork Zoo

Well, well, well… what have we here?
Unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past week or so, you’ve probably seen this Corkers zoo by Naama Steinbock and Idan Friedman aka the love bugs behind Reddish Studio. The two collaborated with Oded Friedland (also known as Monkey Business) and created this animal party! “Bring your dinner party and your bottle corks to life with these cute‭, ‬collectable animal parts‭.‬”
All is left to do is decide which animal to chose. Any suggestions?

UTEdesign | Color Blocks
I can’t remember when was the last time I wrote about something that has something to do with babies… Well, it’s not that I’m against it, it’s just that I prefer writing about real grown up accessories ;)
I guess there is always an exception. When I bumped into UTE‘s colorful world, at first, I couldn’t tell it was a diaper bag.
The colors, prints and the overall vibe screamed style! The two lady mamas behind this super stylish brand are Eti Nevot and Tal Ben-Ari. Oh, and just one more thing, I’m loving the yellowish logo. SO ca-yute!

Buligaia | Adiya Berkovich | Midnight Owls
  • John | The Pirate Owl
  • Sleepyhead | The Sleep Lover Owl
  • The Nutcracker Owl
I have a thing for owls, I can’t really explain why but when it comes down to this big headed animal and it’s huge eyes I melt inside…
Adiya Berkovich and her magic hands is the one responsible for all these Buligaia Owls. She manages to capture their lovable face expressions and I just love it!
All I want to do do is grab Owl John (my absolute fav) and cuddle him!
-
Just one more thing, I really enjoyed the movie Legend of the Guardians. Yep, it’s about owls ;)

World Break | The Good Machinery | Animal Kingdom

I’m obsessed with Etsy. There I said it! So when ever I get their newsletter (you know I signed up for ALL of their newsletters…) it’s like a sign to drop whatever I’m doing and go into a happy artsy mode. That was the case earlier today when I spotted The Strange Planet animals by The Good Machinery. These little colorful animals made me realize that you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy things from your past. I can still remember playing with my plastic animals as a child and the fact that I can have the same animals but a bit more stylish and jazzed up makes things so much better.
I’m so getting my own little zoo a.sap!

Student Break | Lilach Eliyahu | Sweet Child of Mine

TLV Fashion Week is happening as we speak so I decided to have a fashion week of my own with my favorite 2011 graduates.
-
First in line is Lilach Eliyahu, a graduate of the Fashion Design Department at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. This girl knows you don’t have to be too serious when it comes to fashion to get it done right! As a child Lilach moved a lot and saying goodbye wasn’t easy. All those bad memories led her to take doll parts and little girl cloths and start something new. Although the collection looks colorful and sweet, when you take a closer look you’ll see that it is not as sweet as it seems.

World Break | Elsa Lambinet | Sweet Sunday!

Do you know anyone out there who doesn’t like chocolate? I don’t! SO, when I stumbled upon Elsa’s “Sweet Play”, you should have seen me jumping up and down in my chair. Your own custom chocolate! How genius is that?! BTW, this sweet magic was created at the ECAL /University.
-
Speaking of chocolate, I had to share with you one of my favorite illustrators who happens to work at one of my favorite brands (last photo). Katie Evans created this oh so delicious collage of paper-cut chocolates for Kate Spade.

TAYO | Knitting While Sitting

Tamar Kodman Garcia and Yodfat Sternreich know a thing or two about motherhood, family and in between. The two decided there is room for a breeze of fresh air in the Israeli design scene, so they mixed natural materials with clean lines and modern simplicity. Their first attempt as a duo was knitting cushion seats for the little ones and I think they nailed it! It looks SO smart and playful. Just one more thing, if you can think of anything your child would like, don’t hesitate to contact the two. They are up for the challenge! I dare you to try ;) At the moment TAYO has just a facebook page but soon enough the website will be up and running.

FunTalk | Gal Shkedi | Funny Voices

When Gal Shkedi, one of my favorite illustrators, wrote me about his new adventure, “FunTalk“, I had to check it out for myself. I admit, I’m not that app progressive. I only use the basics like Shazam, Instagram , WhatsApp, iHeartRadio… well, I’m sure you get the picture. Anyways, I downloaded it and… can’t wait to share it with my little brother. I’m sure he’ll playing with it for ages. He lives for these kind of Apps.
FunTalk instant voice messenger let’s you say it your way with avatars, themes and funny voices! It’s fast, easy and most of all fun to voice chat with your friends one-on-one and in groups.”
You should try for yourself! So, are you ready for a FunTalk of your own? :)

Latika Soap | Mazzi Peled | Yummy Bubbles

Since coming back from my dreamy vacation I’m on a diet. There is no other option.
So, when Natasha Haimovich introduced me to these yummy treats I was SO happy to realize that they are made out of soap. Yep, you read it right, soaps! Mazzi Peled, the lady behind it all, is my sweet-tooth fairy!

Student Break | Golan Cohen | A Shy State Of Mind

“In My Head” is Golan Cohen’s cute as a button series of shy toys. “Each doll comes with built-in shyness features that would let the child choose the desired level of shyness and maybe even identify with it.” The bodies of all three dolls, the rabbit, the hedgehog and the lion, are tucked inside their heads in a “shy” state. When you pull them out, it’s like they overcome their shyness. Oh, and there is a story that tells their transformed journey. I know I could use this hedgehog back in the day ;) BTW, Golan is a graduate of the Industrial Design Department at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.

Student Break | Noa Dotan | Let Go to Terapy!

Noa Dotan is a fresh graduate of the Industrial Design Department at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Her “Family Matters” are toys for family therapy. “I realized that the field of therapy is full of card games and computer programs but missing 3D relateable objects. The toys originated as a tool for therapists and patients, creating and encouraging communication in the therapeutic framework.”
Between designing and baking brilliant cupcakes, Noa has a thing for bunnies and mustaches. Oh, and she collects Dunnies. It’s definitely an ice breaker!
BTW, this is the cutest logo ever!
