World Break | Maude Lapierre | Fly Away
  • 4 Insects Necklace
  • Grasshopper Brooch
  • Dragonfly Grass Earrings
  • Grasshopper Long Earrings
One of the things that never ceases to amaze me is that with each and every day I find a new creation, a new point of view, a new everything. In a matter of fact, this is exactly what keeps me going.
Maude Lapierre wasn’t a designer I’ve seen before but when I stumbled upon her delicate work I was blown away by her ability to capture the beauty of nature in such a minimal yet precise way. It’s no secret that simple lines and a dash of color can get you anywhere and Maude’s insects are living proof.

Eva Mendelbaum and Kisim | Inked Bags
I think we should all have lots of collaborations. The outcome is so refreshing and exciting!
Noam Zucker, the lady behind Eva Mendelbaum used her mad illustrated skills and joined forces with Yael Rosen and her Kisim empire. Together the two created Carnivorous, a mini collection of leather bags inspired by the body tattoos of the Japanese Yakuza. There is something quite intriguing about the way they decided to use wild flowers as their main motive.
BTW, Noam was kind enough to share with us a glimpse of the behind the scenes sketches and I couldn’t be any happier!

Featured.Shopping Break| Handpicked by me.

I’m starting to think that if we don’t really celebrate Christmas around here, maybe I should adopt this Valentine’s Day theme… I mean, buying yourself or your loved ones something small or big is not really the issue here, even the smalest gesture will count, however buying me a bag, from this little wishlist I asmbled here won’t do any harm ;)
Oh, in case you’re wondering, there is a good reason for each bag on my list:
1. Adele Tote for the love of stripes
2. Envelope Clutch for learning to size down my ginormous bags
3. Foldover In Green for my never ending green crush
4. Richmond Market Bag for stylish grocery shopping

UnaUna | The Bus Driver In Me
Leather bags… It seems like it’s all I can see around me these days… Does this mean that I have to get it done already and buy one?
The obvious answer is yes but… I think I should wait for a while cause Almog Weiss and Mira Gafni, the ladies behind UnaUna, one of my ultimate fav shoe designers decided to start experimenting with designing bags… Their bags are made traditionally with raw leathers that makes it all look like the beginning of a long term relationship. All I can say is, say hello to my brand new bag crush!

O-SHAN | Shelley Leemor | Spot On!

I can still remember my obsession with all things Mondrian during my time at design school. So, when I first saw Shelley Leemor’s Boogie Woogie collection I jumped up and down in the middle of the mall. How crazy is that? I wanted to share with you some behind the scenes info but unfortunately (or not) Shelley is too busy surfing and enjoying the Hawaiian sun.
All I can promise is a One On One Break with this super cool designer real soon! I just hope Shelley won’t mind ;) In the meanwhile, which piece is your favorite? I’m having a hard time deciding…

I have a confession to make, since getting my first yellowish Cambridge Satchel it became my signature bag. Wherever I go, people keep asking me about it. I must admit that this obsession is going nowhere and I recently bought the brown one as well… I have a feeling that the pinkish one has my name written all over it. Just one more thing, I need to send a big thank you to my beautiful British friend Mor, who has no problem being my personal shopper when it comes to adding a new “Cambridge Satchel” to my ever growing collection.
And you my sweet and stylish readers, consider this as my early valentine love note to you ;)

World Break | L’Accent Nou | A Stroll on the Beach
I can’t take this weather any more! It’s SO cold and dark that I can’t even hear myself think. Well, it’s not NY by any means but for Israel it’s damn cold.
And when it’s cold all that is left to do is think about a sunny day at the beach. I have a feeling that’s why I found myself wandering into Anastasia Egórova‘s L’Accent Nou natural haven. There is something quite calming and comforting about the fact that all Anastasia’s creations come from the beautiful Mallorca island in Spain. BTW, the fact that Anastasia followed her heart and left Russia for her man is extra beautiful…

UTEdesign | Color Blocks
I can’t remember when was the last time I wrote about something that has something to do with babies… Well, it’s not that I’m against it, it’s just that I prefer writing about real grown up accessories ;)
I guess there is always an exception. When I bumped into UTE‘s colorful world, at first, I couldn’t tell it was a diaper bag.
The colors, prints and the overall vibe screamed style! The two lady mamas behind this super stylish brand are Eti Nevot and Tal Ben-Ari. Oh, and just one more thing, I’m loving the yellowish logo. SO ca-yute!

  • By Liebling
  • By Michal Miller
  • By Myka
  • By Shani Bar

My kind of event is happening this weekend. A two days event dedicated to shoes. That’s right, a sea of shoes
For some reason it feels like a graduation reunion of all my favorite Israeli designers. Liebling, MYKA, Una Una, Shani Bar, Michal Miller and many many more are gonna be waiting for all the shoe lovers out there… I wish you all could be here! There is so much talent there and I can’t wait to discover which pair will find it’s way to my own shoe kingdom.
BTW, The reason I wanted to write this post is the beautiful pictures of the mega talented photographer Yanai Yechiel so I guess I should have started with him…

Is it normal to have a designer crush…? Either way, the honest truth is I’m obsessed with Shani Bar’s shoes since day one! There is no nicer or gentler way to say it and my multiple posts can back me up! The way Shani grows her business with her own two hands and the help of her loving partner is inspiring. The best part is she doesn’t even think about slowing down. With a brand new store in Berlin, I’m sure you’re gonna run into some more of them around the world in no time.
I can go on and on but I better leave the talking for sweet Shani.
So… here we go!

Which materials do you work with?
I mainly work with leather materials. It’s my favorite and it doesn’t stop surprising me with It’s ability to change and take new forms.ShaniBar
What is the most unusual piece you have ever designed?
I designed a shoe for an art expo. The inspiration for it came from the world of carnivorous plants.
The name of the piece was called “Venus trap”. the shoe is divided into two parts, in the front it’s a simple pump in nude color, and in the back the form continues into a shape of a deep red flower that seduces the feet to get inside the shoe. When the foot slides in the shoe transforms it shape.

Bakery | Share Your Heart
And then they became two…
The Bakery bunch used to be a threesome but lately Gil Sheffi decided to begin his own journey and the other two Gilli Kuchik and Ran Amitai are keeping the torch alive!
The two creative lovebirds (yes, they are a couple in real life as well) created the Shares Necklace. “It’s a necklace you can share with your loved one. The necklace looks beautiful as a whole and as a half allowing you to enjoy it before and after you find your other half.” Just like when we gave our childhood boyfriend a little heart charm… I guess someone is ready for valentine ;)

World Break | Iris Tsante | Mad About Pencils
We all need a dash of bright color in our lives. Iris Tsante is the one responsible for making my day a little more bright and colorful in the middle of this extra gray day. Her pencil jewelery are a breath of fresh air in this dreadful winter! I’m sure you all agree with me.
-
Another bright light is Mr. Color himself aka Brad Goreski. Brad even has his own trade mark slogan named “POC”. If you ask yourself what does #POC stands for, the right answer is clearly “Pop of Color” ;)

Goldfish | A Whoolish Statement
I meant to write about the Goldfish scarfs today and just before hitting the publish bottom I discovered that the ladies of Dreed*Tea blog are having a giveaway of one of the Goldfish scarfs. So I thought to my self, why not kill two accessorized birds in one post? Goldfish is the woolish child of Shira Paz and Sharon Goldman who created some kind of scarf slash statement necklace. And you know me, I’m down with any scarf or any other statement piece any day of the week.
BTW, how beautiful is Daina of the Dreed*Tea bunch?

A while back I wrote about Lital Mendel’s origami like rings. A year has gone by and Lital kept exploring more prints and textures. She came up with brand new rings that are the same but different ;)
I can’t get enough of these rings. Seriously! The next step is putting a folding ring around my finger. Till then, you’ll hear a lot more about it. That, I can promise you!

Roni Kantor | Head Over Heels
Writing about Roni Kantor’s creations is always a pleasure. Well, besides the fact that it takes double the time… I find myself blown away by the shoes shapes and colors so much that about an hour later it’s time to wake up and get back to reality. Oh, and I didn’t even begin talking about all those little extra special treasures that she added to the frame! Maybe by her next shoot she will have me as a fly on the wall, I guess I should ask…
In the meanwhile I’m gonna keep on dreaming about the sunshine but enjoy all the brownish and other fall colors that Roni uses so gracefully.
