Sivan Askayo | Blog for The Road
I’m obsessed with Sivan Askayo’s photographs and by now I have 5 posts to prove it! After sharing with you her photogenic journey all over the globe from NYC (her home base) to Japan to Buenos Aires and even The Caribbeans, I realized that for some reason I haven’t shared with you a very important piece of information, which is Sivan’s personal blog! In her blog you’ll find lots of exciting and sometimes even touching stories from behind the lens. I especially love her Vietnamese posts (1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5) or maybe it’s just beacuse I really want to share with you a few of my favorite pictures from that trip ;)

New Olds | A Traveling Blog

  • New Olds | The Blog
  • Noam Tabenkin | Furniture Hospital
  • Meirav Barzilay | Goldenage
  • Yoav Reches | Rope Bench
Last week I visited the traveling exhibition new olds. Design between Tradition and Innovation at Design Museum Holon, which was curated by Volker Albus. The variety of the exhibits made me think about it a long after I left. The fact that a bunch of recently graduated Israeli designers were displaying their work made me feel at home. With the exhibition comes a traveling blog. You should definitely check it out. It’s my kind of design break.

Shira looks like a gal who can pull out a fashionably fabulous illustration out of her sleeve in no time.

World Break | La Princesita | Maria Carrasco | Oh So Dreamy

So, I’m sure you couldn’t miss Valentine’s Day, could you?
While I’m not much of a Valentine gal, I love dreamy atmosphere, muted colors and basically la-la land vibes. They make me feel like a child all over again. I guess that’s what I have in common with the oh so talented chica, Maria Carrasco. It feels like we dream the same dreams.
You have to visit her blog. It’s been one of my favorites for days now!
The only thing is that you’ll have to work on your Spanish ;)

Yaara Keydar | Use your imagination

Yaara is one of my idols in the Israeli blogosphere. She does it all: a fashion designer, fashion writer, editor and blogger and I’m sure the list goes on and on… Her Hebrew friendly blog, Nekudot, is full with endless inspiration. You should definitely take a peak even if you’re not familiar with the language. The images will do the work.
I have to say something about Yaara’s stunning shoe design which is part of an exhibition that deals with the shoe as a raw material and as a work of art.
BTW, “Nekudot” means dots in Hebrew.

Sivan Askayo | Her Life In The Big City

It’s no secret that I’m a bit obsessed when it comes to NYC.
Lately I discovered a Hebrew friendly blog, 56 and Broadway, by an Israeli, aka Sivan Askayo, who lives there and shares bits of her life. I can’t tell you how much I love and wait for each post who is full with little stories that she writes with her special charm.
The most exciting thing is that Sivan is also a gifted photographer and her NYC photographs keeps me day dreaming of all those treasured and joyful spots…
