Hamutelet | Hamutal Elad | The Wind of Stain
I like people who can enjoy getting down and dirty and play with the messy side of things. Hell, I wish I would be one of those people! I have a feeling that Hamutal Elad (aka Hamutelet) is one of those people. Visiting her stained and inky kingdom made me regret not knowing her while in I still lived in Israel… What can I say, black ink makes me feel like a kid and Hamutal seems like someone who enjoys leaving her delicate mark on the nude surface. FYI, Hamutal and Noa Sharon have a new collaboration going on. You should check it out.

Olive Thomas | Maya Levi | Welcome to The Jungle
Maya Levi keeps surprising me time after time and this time is no different with her Two by Two mini collection. The super energetic designer behind Olive Thomas, decided to go back to her graphic designer roots and created the most vibrant digital prints of bunch of flamingos (which I need!), horses and penguins. These prints compliment Maya’s three signature shoes so perfectly that I wonder if we’ll see more prints in the future.
AND… that’s not all! As Maya is one of a kind, with every purchase of a pair, she’ll send you a matching t-shirt just for fun.

World Break | Sweet Bestiary | Welcome to Magic Kingdom
Whenever I bump into cute stuff it’s like my inner child (some might say that I’m still a bit of a child) comes to life. And… when it happens, I usually need to let it out and share it with you, my sweet breakers! Sweet Bestiary is the cutest love child of Flor Panichelli. Flor is the one responsible for these cute as a button tiny creatures with her two magical hands and a pile of paper clay. Magical kingdoms might be only a fairy tail but in Flor’s universe anything is possible. and you’ll find a mix of swimmer in a teacup, a family of happy spotty cacti and many more.

Lee Schein | Blue Friday
I’m not really sure what I think about the color blue. I own one or two blueish pants but that’s about it. You know, I’m more of a yellow kind of gal. BUT, when Lee Schein told me about her oh-so-blue and fab brand new collection of felted necklaces, I knew I had to spread the word out there. Who knows, maybe the next step will be twisting Lee’s arm and make her make a yellow version of this extra special beaded necklaces. I have a feeling that Lee spent sooooooo much time making each and every bead that it’s almost outrageous! FYI, Lee is also one hell of an illustrator. I thought you’d like to refresh your memory ;)

Hadas Tuval | Geometric Swirls
Say hello to Hadas Tuval (yep, she is a textile designer). When Hadas first shared with me her world of blue and yellow patterns the first thing that jumped to mind was: “I’m surprised by the way her delicate patterns and calm colors make me relaxed and happy”. Hadas’ sensitive work made me spent lots of time looking at each and every swirl and line.
FYI, her unique patterns and massive details were inspired by Islamic geometric ornaments and traditional drawings from the east, but you already figured that out, right?

Shiri Avda | The Branch
The moment you get to meet a designer in real life and realize that you found yourself a rare gem is priceless!
Shiri Avda, the one behind the most amazing paper jewelry out there just launched her first collection and what a collection it is! I was lucky enough to get a glimpse when she just began (I LOVE PROTOTYPES!). And then about two months ago I visited her cozy studio and got to see the end result of a long process.
I’m obsessed with Shiri’s rings and with this one in particular. The bubbly texture and delicate structure is like no other!

One Special Day and It Has Something to Do with Etsy…
  • My spotty shoes and Noa Sharon's rad steps shoes
It was on a Wednesday evening in one of southern Tel Aviv’s studios, that I got to meet Etsy‘s nicest engineer (hi, Fred!) who shared some behind the scenes stories… It all happened thanks to Jewelation, a joint working space that was founded not so long ago by Maya and Yahav (aka Cadi jewelry). What made it so special is the fact that I got to know in person some of my favorite designers that up until then I only knew by name. I find it super exciting and interesting to hear from the designers themselves about their day to day lives and about their dreams and plans regarding future projects and designs. Hands down, it was one of my best experiences as a blogger!

Romi Hefetz | Little Brown Ceramic Bag
I’m a huge fan of Romi Hefetz ever since I found out about her existence. AND… when you love someone you keep waiting for more and more… SO, after wanting and waiting for new developments to come from the Hefetz HQ, I’m super excited to share with you Romi’s new paper plants. There is something quite simple yet elegant in the way Romi approaches working with clay and the end result is one pretty ceramic party.

PS. The Envelope series is not too shabby as well!

Leah Lerner | Black and White Jungle
Leah Lerner arrived to Tel Aviv 3 years ago and right there and then she decided to launch her very own brand. Ballzy? I guess so, smart? SURE THING! With her own patterns and hand screen prints, Leah’s leather bags are making their way straight into my heart. You know how much I adore statement accessories and with these super fine prints there is no way that I’ll be missed walking down the street! Her black and white prints are my absolute favs and maybe it’s because I’ve been looking for my next black bag for a while now. You can read a lot more about Leah’s journey and have a sneak peek into her world at the Etsy’s Featured Shop.

Mora Dimerman | Fragile Crochet Beauties
  • Clara Necklace
  • Luna Necklace
  • Lea Necklace
  • Lucia Necklace
  • Ethel Necklace
Can you imagine how long it takes to crochet a necklace? I certainly can’t!
At first Mora Dimerman experimented with cotton and wool while knitting soft and pretty accessories. From there she worked her way to mixing embroidery threads with silver and gold and now… with her new collection, she only uses gold and silver threads (!!!) It’s a crazy, crazy thing but I guess you got to do what you got to do, or in Mora’s case you just do what you were born to do!

BTW, I adore the fact that each and every necklace is named after a Latin or Hebrew name!

Moran Alhalel | Sail Away with Me
A week before our wedding day, the Mr.and I folded a hundred and fifty miniatured paper boats as our sitting placements… and you got it right, it was a Friday morning wedding by the beach and the theme was… well, the beach… with a few yellow duckies popping here and there… Anyways, I’m only sharing this unimportant information because since then, I hold a soft spot for miniatured origami boats and this leads me to Moran Alhalel and her… yes, origami boats. A while back I mentioned on my Facebook Page that my next apartment will follow the black and white theme and I know for sure that these boats or maybe these ones will be part of my new B&W world!

Studio ORYX | Re’em Eyal | Market Lights
  • Dirft & Charpel | Two vintage skates, a shoemaker's last and sugar containers
  • Sherlock | A sugar container and an old table lamp
  • Yooper | Hand crafted from a vintage flesh grinder
  • Loox & Benet | Two vintage skates, a shoemaker's last and sugar containers
  • Frenzy | A small camera tripod and an alcohol shaker
I’m not that much into flee markets although when seeing what Re’em Eyal digs up time after time in his regular visits around the world it makes me wonder. If I really think about it, I don’t have the patience to search for something I don’t even know exists. Oh well, I know when to leave it to the experts to do what they do best.
After discovering Re’em’s work back in 2011 visiting his vintage kingdom on a regular basis felt like the right thing to do and so… that’s what I’m doing and so should you!

Dana Bachar | Industrial Rings
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE jewelry designers but for some reason, industrial designers have a different take on objects and especially when it comes to the wearable kind. Maybe it’s because of the fact that they don’t really care if an object is only an object… I mean, sure they care but I hope you know where I’m going with this… I was first introduced to Dana Bachar’s industrial world last year and waited for her new designs but little did I know that her next collection would be IndustRing, aka a collection of rings which were inspired by the industrial production process. Smart. Right?

Timo | Timor Cohen | Family Ties
We all go through different phases when we don’t really find our place and need some space in order to figure things out. Once I bumped into Timor Cohen’s extended family of dolls it made things a little bit clearer. We all have families and they are all different from one another but one thing is for sure, your family is yours to keep. Sorry for the heavy post, you guys… It wasn’t supposed to turn out this way, however some days are a bit darker than others. On a lighter note, let me leave you with my very own favorite family by Timor. She sure knows how to mix and match all kinds of characters and brings their different personalities to life.

World Break | Room for Emptiness | Illustrated Lines
I once tried to paint on the cute Munny by KidRobot. Trust me when I say that it was far from pretty! I’m only sharing with you this dark little detail because I bumped into the illustrated world of Lena Hanzel and I felt like I found someone who can do an awesome job! Lena, the one behind Room for Emptiness (I’m in love with her brand name), only needs a black marker and a few white ceramics and she is ready to go. If only I could buy each and every piece, my life would be complete…
BTW, Lena’s creations remind me of Roni Brot’s Illustrated Break.
