| This one is a little different. Usually when I really want to visit a high profile exhibition I have to book a ticket to NYC or London. This time all I needed to do was to hop into my car and after no more than fifteen minute be a part of the Senseware’s white world. As a designer, I really appreciate white space and there is no secret that the Japaneses really know how to rock white from head to toe. The fact that it all happened to me in my home town Holon made it ever more special to me. Thank you dear Holon Design Museum for all this joy!

| The UMAMY Design Group is one of my favorites. I guess that their new “Grey Area” exhibition is a proper reason to introduce you all to their wicked minds. “The “Grey Area” exhibition, is about concrete. It is about a sensual material who’s value has been demolished. It is about moldable and non moldable shapes.” I’m sure that now you’ll fall in love with their world. BTW, the good news is that you can have your own piece of the UMAMY’s “Grey Area”.

| I lived on an island for the last year. This is my only explanation for me getting to know the amazing Ido only last week! I went to see the Sequences | Identities | Israeli Jewelry 5 exhibition at the Eretz Israel Museum. Ido’s Altneuland Ring caught me off guard. I stared at all those little details and couldn’t get enough of it. After getting in touch with the man himself I found out that there is so much more to see… “Among the countless points of view on Tel Aviv, my view as an artist who was born in the far north of Israel, sums up to one word: amazement.” Well, That makes the two of us.

| d-Vision is a friendly environment for all those fresh industrial design graduates. For their 2010 Salone Satellite show, in the Milan design week, they showed a collection which explores various applications of LED lighting and pushes it towards surprising limits. I have to say that I’m loving this Olla lamp! I’ve loved balloons since I was a child. I have to hand it to their curator, the gifted Ezri Tarazi who put together an amazing and inspiring collection! His studio web site is a place for endless inspiration. Don’t forget to check it out!You can download the show catalog here. |
| Last week I visited the Holon Institute of Technology mid term exhibition. One of the items that caught me eyes was Angie. “Angie seems like a sweet and harmless little girl with an angelic smile and a cute little rabbit in her hand. But the shadows conceal Angie’s trough nature, behind that innocent smile lays a dark shadow. Every Angie doll has a different shadow that tells a distinctive story about her inner demons, about her dark and devilish side, a side that no one will expect to find in a sweet little girl.” Angie is part of the Mini-me exhibition. You can find lots of cute Mini-me over there :) |
