World Break | Jeez Vanilla | Adriana Belle | Sketchy Feeling

  • Two sisters | Family Portrait
  • The Guy with Glasses | Portrait based on a vintage picture from the 50's
  • Masked | Portrait based on a vintage picture from the 20's
It seems like everywhere I go, I discover new painted ceramics theses days. For some reason, the Jeez Vanilla’s plates stood out right away. Maybe it’s the sketchy feeling or the story that you can fill in for yourself…
I just can’t put my finger on it. The only thing I know is I want to see more!
Adriana Belle, the lady behind it all, makes me want to open my childhood albums and start choosing my own portraits…

Keren Taggar | Ballet shoes

I think it’s time to share with you guys another big obsession of mine and it’s called shoes and to be exact it is the flat shoe obsession!
I have lots and lots of them and lately the ballet shoes are ruling my drawers. Seeing Keren’s sketch I have a feeling she knows exactly what I’m talking about.
Other than that her blog is breath taking, you have to see for yourself!

Sagi Ashin | Burge McCall

It all started when I saw a tiny illustration as part of a print ad.
I started to do my detective work and found out that the illustrator was Sagi Ashin. He has such an amazing eye for the small details and the way he works with color…
I especially love his Burge McCall set.
I’m sure I’ll post about him again and again…
Sagi’s Flickr page should be your weekly treat!

Student Break | Hila Ben-Navat | Primo Levi

I had to share with you a preview of Hila’s deeply moving thesis work. Hila is a MA student at the Communication Design Department at Central Saint Martins. Her project focuses on Primo Levi, chemist, writer and Holocaust survivor. “Through his testimony, I reveal different questions about his struggle: the linguistic problems in Auschwitz, the loss of identity, the hierarchy between prisoners, the fake release, the relations between chemistry and life and Levi’s suicide in 1987″.
I can’t wait to take a closer look at her stunning work. You should definitely visit Hila’s Behance portfolio.

Tulale | Liat Levin Rotman | Do I need to give birth first?!

Everyone says that I haven’t grown up. I don’t even know if I’ll ever feel grown up! I love all those babies products minus the babies :)
I’m really digging this blanket. I don’t think that I have to wait for a child of my own in order to get one. What do you say?

Jenny Meilihove | Those big over sized glasses

At first I couldn’t put my finger on it! Just couldn’t understand why I’m so fascinated with Jenny’s portraits. But now I know why, it’s those big glasses that stare at me… It reminds me how I used to look like as a kid… those big over sized glasses…
Jenny has an amazing Etsy shop and a Flickr page as well.
