Ola Liola | Expressing Emotions through Color
I’ve been meaning to write about Ola Liola’s colorful world for a while…
This is one of those moments where I want to kick myself. Why did it take me so long?!
Anyways, when seeing Ola’s illustrations for the first time, the only thing I could think of was how amazing it would be to experience the world of Alice in wonderland from cover to finish with Ola’s dreamy touch… Yep, I think it would be a once in a life time experience. But, until Ola adopts this brilliant idea I’ll keep on dreaming about asking her to participate in my Illustrated Break

Maya Shleifer | Bumpy Ride
Experiencing Maya Shleifer’s train rides through her eyes and doodles makes me consider buying my own ticket just for the sake of starring… Yep, I’m one of these people who don’t get tired of starring and making up stories about other people’s life… So, when I first stumbled upon Maya’s “In The Train” it felt like I’ve already seen all these people and kinda know their stories… There is something quite endearing and touching with the way Maya captures all these moments with only black ink and bumpy rides.
It feels like a gloomy Wednesday so maybe that’s why my thoughts are gloomy as well…

Oded Ezer | Stained

Oded Ezer is my idol, there is no question about it!
He has this amazing ability to turn even the most common high heels into a work of art. I’m not that into heels but this pair would be a perfect fit to my shoe collection. Just for the sake of me starring at them 24/7.
BTW, Oded’s shoes are part of an exhibition that deals with the shoe as a raw material and as a work of art, just like Yaara Keydar’s shoes that I wrote about before.

  • Do not listen
  • Do not talk
  • A comfort
These illustrations by the much talented Merav caught me off guard. I couldn’t stop staring for minutes… I have a feeling that you’ll see here more sides of Merav’s talent real soon.
