| Have you seen the latest addition to the WAF family? It looks like a take on the Tux Jacket. Then again, I have a habit of imagening things when it comes to Asaf Weinbroom’s creations ;) {Photos by Dan Peretz}

| “Papela is a playful paper lamp. Crumple, squash and reshape it as you like. It comes as a paper ball, which by a simple set of actions, transforms into a unique wrinkled lampshade.” As someone who is obsessed with papers of all kinds starting with magazines and ending with stationary, this lamp is definitely my cup of tea. BTW, Meirav Barzilay, the girl behind it all is a busy bee. It feels like her mind is working at full speed. She finished school literally moments ago and already has an army of wicked creations.

| What one wicked mind can do with 99 strips of veneer fiber? Well, it’s called “99″ and the man behind it all is the talented Aviad Petel. I love the unexpected movement and shades… What do you think about it? {DesignBreak found Aviad at ReDesign}.

| Another Bakery entry for the Time 02 is “Rock, Paper”. It deals with the duality of the Jerusalem stone as a representation of the city. The lamp shade is all about Smash (a non woven fabric) turned into Jerusalem stone texture. The uniqueness of Smash is in its “paperish” look together with its thermoplastic abilities. “The motivation for the use of a airy-paper look is due to the fact that paper is the opposite of the stone: light, temporary, delicate and translucent. The connection of a paper together with the stone aesthetics reflects our hopes for the future: A more delicate and light filled Jerusalem.” Amen for that! www.bakery-design.com |
