Liebling Shoes | Happy Feet
I know, I Know… Too many shoe posts are going on around here this week. But, what can I do? I can’t help myself. So many new and exciting shoes and I don’t know how to control myself ;)
-
My Shoe obsession is in full swing now that the Liebling’s Spring Summer 2012 collection is out! Yes, there is no need to add any more. Let me say it one more time, the Liebling’s Spring Summer 2012 collection is out!
Karni and Lior, I think this is just about the right moment to say that my heart belongs to you, now and forever!

Natalie Ve Tamar | Shoes that Make You Go Ummm…
Speaking of shoes… I hope you don’t mind getting a double dose of them two days in a row.
-
Since I first bumped into Natalie Ve Tamar almost six months ago, I kept wondering if there would be any chance I’d be blown away again. And if you are wondering…the answer is YES! The attention to the smallest details, the perfect stitches and just the right curves! I feel like Tamar Shalem, the lady behind it all, should be on my speed dial ;)
BTW, can you guess which pair has my name written all over them?

Stella and Lori | Minimal Neon
I have a deep feeling that I could easily be one of the Blank sisters best friend! Vered and Zohar Blank know exactly what makes me happy. A good old leather bag, minimal design and a dash of color. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less. You see, I’m easy to please! With their neonish collection, there is no doubt in my mind that I have to have a Stella and Lori bag in my ever growing bag collection. The fact that their collection is presented as wrapped candy, fine and stylish makes me love it even more. Is it too childish to ask them to be my BFF?
Oh, you can read an interview with the two at Carolina Benoit’s blog.

Eva Mendelbaum and Kisim | Inked Bags
I think we should all have lots of collaborations. The outcome is so refreshing and exciting!
Noam Zucker, the lady behind Eva Mendelbaum used her mad illustrated skills and joined forces with Yael Rosen and her Kisim empire. Together the two created Carnivorous, a mini collection of leather bags inspired by the body tattoos of the Japanese Yakuza. There is something quite intriguing about the way they decided to use wild flowers as their main motive.
BTW, Noam was kind enough to share with us a glimpse of the behind the scenes sketches and I couldn’t be any happier!

I’m starting to think that if we don’t really celebrate Christmas around here, maybe I should adopt this Valentine’s Day theme… I mean, buying yourself or your loved ones something small or big is not really the issue here, even the smalest gesture will count, however buying me a bag, from this little wishlist I asmbled here won’t do any harm ;)
Oh, in case you’re wondering, there is a good reason for each bag on my list:
1. Adele Tote for the love of stripes
2. Envelope Clutch for learning to size down my ginormous bags
3. Foldover In Green for my never ending green crush
4. Richmond Market Bag for stylish grocery shopping

UnaUna | The Bus Driver In Me
Leather bags… It seems like it’s all I can see around me these days… Does this mean that I have to get it done already and buy one?
The obvious answer is yes but… I think I should wait for a while cause Almog Weiss and Mira Gafni, the ladies behind UnaUna, one of my ultimate fav shoe designers decided to start experimenting with designing bags… Their bags are made traditionally with raw leathers that makes it all look like the beginning of a long term relationship. All I can say is, say hello to my brand new bag crush!

I have a confession to make, since getting my first yellowish Cambridge Satchel it became my signature bag. Wherever I go, people keep asking me about it. I must admit that this obsession is going nowhere and I recently bought the brown one as well… I have a feeling that the pinkish one has my name written all over it. Just one more thing, I need to send a big thank you to my beautiful British friend Mor, who has no problem being my personal shopper when it comes to adding a new “Cambridge Satchel” to my ever growing collection.
And you my sweet and stylish readers, consider this as my early valentine love note to you ;)

Is it normal to have a designer crush…? Either way, the honest truth is I’m obsessed with Shani Bar’s shoes since day one! There is no nicer or gentler way to say it and my multiple posts can back me up! The way Shani grows her business with her own two hands and the help of her loving partner is inspiring. The best part is she doesn’t even think about slowing down. With a brand new store in Berlin, I’m sure you’re gonna run into some more of them around the world in no time.
I can go on and on but I better leave the talking for sweet Shani.
So… here we go!

It all began in a small studio in my old apartment after I graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. I was creating my first collection and doing all the manufacturing by my myself. It was a wonderful experience in which I learned a lot about shoe making.
The reaction from people was amazing and so I decided to start my own shoe line professionally.

Which materials do you work with?
I mainly work with leather materials. It’s my favorite and it doesn’t stop surprising me with It’s ability to change and take new forms.ShaniBar
What is the most unusual piece you have ever designed?
I designed a shoe for an art expo. The inspiration for it came from the world of carnivorous plants.
The name of the piece was called “Venus trap”. the shoe is divided into two parts, in the front it’s a simple pump in nude color, and in the back the form continues into a shape of a deep red flower that seduces the feet to get inside the shoe. When the foot slides in the shoe transforms it shape.

The power couple Shelly and Elon Satat-Kombor aka “CoupleOf” have done it again.
These two are like the bad kids on the Israeli shoeground. They are not afraid to bend or even break the rules and the outcome is their most wild collection by far.
My heart is racing and there are no words to describe the emotions that run deep and high.
Anyways, the good news is that you and I can find all this masculine beauty at Amalia Boutique.

Liebling Shoes | European Winter. The Shoe Version

I know you’ve been waiting for this post as much as I have! Karni Reshef and Lior Livne the wonder behind “Liebling” are dying for a proper winter. They wouldn’t mind experiencing a European one BUT… as you know the Israeli winter is far from your average cold wet one (thank god for that) so they had all the freedom in the world, fantasizing about a freezish layerish atmosphere and coming up with an oh so earthy yet heavenly collection.
If you missed my One On One with the two, you can read it right here.

Olive Thomas | Maya Levi | Fly With Me

Maya Levi is one of those shoe designers that know how to put a smile on my face! Her point of view and the eras she decides to tackle each season makes me want to give her a big hug twice a year. In Maya’s wintery collection she had female aviators from the last century in mind and boy did she come up with an armylicious collection!
I’m sure you’ll agree with me that these shoes are way fun than the ugly army ones.

I was too excited until the power duo, Vered Blank-Grizim and Zohar Blank-Kama, release their whole collection so, my lovely readers, you get another post about Stella and Lori! I’m sure I won’t hear any complaints from the your side of the screen ;)
The two sisters just released their first bag collection and I’m over the moon. Holy moly, I can see some damage being done tomorrow… after all it’s Friday and my credit card usually sees daylight during my favorite day of the week. All the good stuff is awaiting in one magical Etsy Shop.
Oh… In case you couldn’t guess, my absolute fave is the “Safari Bag”!

Stella and Lori | A Tale of Two Granddaughters

Stella and Lori are two lucky ladies. Their granddaughters named their brand new creation after them. How sweet is that?! Vered Blank-Grizim and Zohar Blank-Kama made me think about my wallet. What do I look for in a wallet?
I guess color, texture and size (in my case the bigger the better) play a huge role. Seeing the sister’s range of colors made me fall even harder. Did anyone mention a new wallet for the new year? Yep, the Jewish new year is just around the corner…
Head to the girl’s Etsy Shop, I have a hunch you won’t leave empty handed ;)
Happy Monday lovely breakers!
