Emili Yehezkel | One and Two and Three
Do you know the feeling when you see a bag you like but there are just too many colors to choose from? The problem begins when I like all the colors and I just can’t make up my mind. Emili Yehezkel, the girl behind these extra minimal yet exciting leather bags, put me in such a difficult spot!
I especially love her men’s version.
I know the obvious choice should be using my common sense and aim for one bag but you know me, I can’t have too many bags and the history shows that I tend to buy the same bags in different colors. It’s a bit sad but it’s the honest truth.

Usually whenever I bumps into a new shoe catalog most of the time they all feel the same. The shoe is always center stage, usually on a white background and sometimes I spot an actual foot here and there. BUT this time it’s different, really different! The girls behind UnaUna (Almog and Mira) turned to some of their favorite artists and designers and asked them to create a compatible piece of art that will accompany each and every one of their summer 2013 collection aka Reaction. The outcome is refreshing, beautiful, sensitive and intriguing all at the same time.

Olive Thomas | Maya Levi | Welcome to The Jungle
Maya Levi keeps surprising me time after time and this time is no different with her Two by Two mini collection. The super energetic designer behind Olive Thomas, decided to go back to her graphic designer roots and created the most vibrant digital prints of bunch of flamingos (which I need!), horses and penguins. These prints compliment Maya’s three signature shoes so perfectly that I wonder if we’ll see more prints in the future.
AND… that’s not all! As Maya is one of a kind, with every purchase of a pair, she’ll send you a matching t-shirt just for fun.

Norman & Bella | Tal Arbel | Manly Me
If there was one time that I wished I was a man, it was when I bumped into Norman & Bella‘s Men’s collection.
I stopped keeping track of all my oxford shoes, but if there is a god out there, Tal Arbel, the designer behind this super slick brand, was thinking about all the ladies who really like the manly look. Size six and seven are awaiting just for us. Am I right, Tal?
FYI, there is a Her collection as well.

Shani Bar | The Summer Swan and Other Shoes
I’m not sure if I need to say too much other than saying Shani Bar!
I mean, this major shoe designer knows how to touch my heart or better yet, my feet. And as we are heading towards spring, color is the name of the game and Shani defiantly knows how to spice things up! One of the things I love most about Shani’s work is that in each and every collection (after listening to her costumers) there is another take on some of the old favorite shoes.
Just one last confession, I’m obsessed with the summer swan (and now all is left to do is pray for a flat version).

Liza Arjuan | Folding Metals
It’s been too long since I wrote about an exciting new accessories designer. I guess I was looking for the right fit and then Liza Arjuan came along. In her Dress Up! collection, Liza focused on the details behind jackets, collars, sleeves and ties. From there she “folded” and “sewed” brass just as she would fabric. I must add that with her super duper production and fine photographs she won me over at first glance.

Liebling Shoes | Fallin’ in Love Again
I think we all should set our seasonal alarm for the time Karni and Lior, the two behind Liebling, release to the world their collections. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sad that the fall winds are sneaking around the corner BUT the fact that each and every fall and then spring I can get my Liebling-ish fix makes things a bit more bearable. I know, I’m talking about shoes but these are not just shoes! See for your self, their brand new collection is nothing but pure perfection.

Maya Shalev | Bagging and Bagging
Do you know the song: “if you love somebody, set them free…”?
I think I’m in love with this bag since forever (it’s texture is everything!) and I’m having a hard time letting go.
I think I won’t be able to leave it behind me, and the only way out is to actually buy it. The only problem I see is, that Maya Shalev, the one responsible for this beauty, won’t stop!
She keeps on coming up with brilliant designs, bag after bag after bag

Seventy Eight Percent | Shai Levy | Another Day, Another Bag
  • Zazie | The Mini Satchel
  • Schults | The Mighty Satchel
  • Dimitri | The Medium Satchel
  • Benny | The Attaché Case
  • Dimitri | The Medium Satchel
“78% is the right amount of perfection. More than that would not create the desired effect and less than that would result in a useless product.” This is the motto of Elad Klein, Shai Levy’s best friend who passed away… and Shay named his brand SEP in celebration of his life. In Shai’s bags you’ll be able to spot lots of functional thinking. With many pockets and folders, there is no way you’ll loose your favorite Muji pen ;) Anyways, you can read a lot more about the brand right here and I on the other hand have to start thinking where am I going to find the missing $525 for my Dimitri.

Walk | Anat Dahari | Walk the Walk
Oh boy, did I miss writing about shoes… I just love, love, love shoes!
Walk by Anat Dahari is one of those brands that don’t screams on the top of their lungs that they are here. You will notice them from across the room only if minimalism is you middle name. Well, I’m not sure what is my middle name, by now I’ve adopted so many but all I know for sure is I don’tmind adding a bunch of Anat Dahari’s beautiful shoes to my overflowed drawers. The fact that Anat is a certified Architect explains it all. Don’t you think?

OK. Let’s take a little break from all the 2012 graduate madness
-
I’ve always fantasized about designing my very own bags but that’s not going to happen. I’m too left handed!
If there is something I know for sure it’s leaving the work to the pros and so… Sivan Moshkovitz and her Complét Bags conquered a huge piece of my heart and I can’t wait to see a lot more from this chic chick.
BTW, the way she plays with her prints and reveals them with the zippers is a super smart move on her behalf.

Olive Thomas | Maya Levi | Hide and Seek
When you think about leather, you don’t necessarily think about transparency. Well, Maya Levi, the brilliant designer behind Olive Thomas, managed to make this crazy idea work. For her 2012 SS collection, she had fun layering different kinds of leather and by puncturing them, she created her very own unique textures!
Leaving the design aside for just a minute, the concept and the execution of the catalog, which was photographed by Sarai Kirshner, is like a breath of fresh air!
So colorful and simply happy.

Yael Friedman | The Ring Lady
As I was on my hourly break, on my never ending Instagram feed, I saw the most brilliant paper rings by Yael Friedman on Shira Shoval’s stream… and you know me, I immediately wrote her, needing to know more. That’s when I entered into Yael’s super versatile world and found a lot more rings. Leather rings, paper rings, fabric rings and basically all things rings!
So, as I meant to write about Yale’s paper rings, I fell in love with her animal rings. It almost feels like when wearing it, you carry your very own favorite doll with you in a very stylish and unique manner. I’m hooked! There is no other way to put it.

Shani Bar | Bring It On, I Mean The Shoes!
You know how it feels, when you have a favorite shoe designer and it’s almost like there is no way your wallet is going to survive the launch of her new collection. What I’m saying is, with SO many shoes I need to have, it’s almost impossible to choose!
That’s exactly what happens to me each and every season and this 2012 Summer Collection, by the lovely Shani Bar, is no different. The fact that there are lots and lots of yellow shoes in this collection, makes things a bit crazy for me. You know, with my obsession with all things yellow and all ;)
Here are exhibit A, exhibit B, exhibit C!

Liebling Shoes | Happy Feet
I know, I Know… Too many shoe posts are going on around here this week. But, what can I do? I can’t help myself. So many new and exciting shoes and I don’t know how to control myself ;)
-
My Shoe obsession is in full swing now that the Liebling’s Spring Summer 2012 collection is out! Yes, there is no need to add any more. Let me say it one more time, the Liebling’s Spring Summer 2012 collection is out!
Karni and Lior, I think this is just about the right moment to say that my heart belongs to you, now and forever!
