 The minute I ended up at Joon and Jung’s magical kingdom, I was hooked.
Their New I’m too sad to separate ceramic mugs made me think about the guy in my life who I adore and cherish. The one who believes in me and sticks with me no matter what. I’m sure the two had something completely different in mind but… I decided to share with you my take on it…
Oh… I first saw this project in one of Victor Hunt‘s Designart Documentaries. There is nothing like being able to hear a designer talk about his creation!

Student Break | Shimi Cohen | Rock Paper Scissors

 A student assignment turned into an official music video is a first here at DesignBreak. Can you imagine, Ivri Lider, one of my favorite singers, calling and asking you to turn your one minute assignment into a full blown music video?! Shimi Cohen’s assignment was themed “Rock Paper Scissors”. He decided to tackle it by dealing with virtual relations in general and in the city of Tel Aviv in particular.
FYI, Shimi is a second year student at The Visual Communication Department of the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design.

BananaMoon | Merav Shacham | Spring In Your Heart

 By now you know that I have an artistic crash on Merav Shacham and as I promised, here is her latest creation, a music video for Panic Ensemble, Spring In Your Heart. I love those little creatures! Merav told me that her main goal was to always find new ways to make the obvious look different even if in the smallest details. Merav spent sleepless nights drawing each and every frame and with the help of Ariel Levental you can all enjoy this fantasy world yourself. From August 2008 till March 2010… It was worth every minute… enjoy the ride!

Eatliz | Guy Ben Shetrit | The girl and the huge toad

 I had to share with you guys this amazing music video, which was directed by the talented Guy Ben Shetrit! I just ran into it and I can’t believe it was made two years ago. Where have I been?!
Anyways, I love everything about it.
Oh, I almost forgot, “Hey” is a Sci-Fi Fantasy journey about a little girl with a special pet friend – a huge toad.

The video is a mix of frame by frame animation and crocheting animation. The background images were knitted into an 8 meter long piece.
